Before the year ends, Fortune CARE had an activity last December 12, 2009 held at Fortune CARE Manila Clinic as part of the Wellness Program. Members and Non-members were welcomed and accommodated by the staff of FC Manila Clinic wh0 was led by their Clinic Operations Manager, Dr. Jaen Castillo. Participants of the event were Diabetic patients who want to prevent further complication of such and learn more about the said condition.

To open the celebration, the attendees availed of free Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) which was sponsored by Novartis while the Free Cholesterol Screening was provided by Pacific Health Care. Free samples of Simvastatin medicine were also given to the attendees. Moreover, those with medical findings were advised to consult Dr. Armando Cruz for further evaluation and management.

The highlight of this event was the lecture about Diabetes Mellitus, facilitated by Fortune Care Retainer Diabetologist, Dr. Mercedes Dela Rosa. She provided the attendees with beneficial and substantial information regarding this medical condition. Dr. Dela Rosa shared almost all the must-know regarding the serious health condition - from the cause, the ratio of people who died due to Diabetes, and up to the preventive tips that can be used to guard everyone including you, against this disease.
